Core Values for Grants

Evangelism

Stoller Foundation has built a legacy emphasizing the reason each one of us was born, which is to have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. We believe partner organizations must have the concept and plan to verbally share with those they “touch” through their ministry that Jesus Christ came to this world to love us, to forgive our sins, and to consequently bring us into a relationship with God, if we believe in Christ as our only Savior and Lord. Once we become partners, we desire that the members and volunteers of our partner organizations naturally and verbally share Jesus Christ with people, and not only be his “hands and feet.” We love to hear about the number of people who have made decisions for Christ. The more people hear the Gospel, the better. This means more will believe in Him and receive an eternal relationship and life with God. As Romans 10:14 says, “How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?” The word “preaching” does not mean to only speak from a pulpit in church. This is Christians’ sharing or proclaiming Jesus Christ to those we meet and to whom we minister. If you would like some training in this area, please let us know. We will be glad to help and talk about how this can specifically be done in your organization’s situation.

Volunteerism

Stoller Foundation partners with nonprofit organizations that place significant emphasis on volunteerism. We seek those that create and provide opportunities for people to grow and serve through a strong volunteer base. Volunteers are an essential component for providing loving care and services to beneficiaries and their communities. We believe that faithful servants, who share their time, talents, and treasures, are one of the most valuable assets of an organization. We hope to catalyze recruiting “fishers of men” (Matthew 4:19) to fulfill Christ’s Great Commission. The Stoller Foundation’s calling is not just to enrich good programs, but also to grow and nurture a generation of believers willing to serve others and the Kingdom of God. Our partner organizations must have the leadership and potential for mobilizing, nurturing, and empowering volunteers within its program.

Sustainability

Stoller Foundation is to be a faithful steward of resources given by God. We expect the same from our partner organizations that receive financial support from the Stoller Foundation. As they raise and biblically manage their resources, they will become sustainable and continue to expand God’s Kingdom on earth. One of the ways to sustainability is to diversify funding sources, especially individual donations who strongly desire to be part of your mission. Stoller Foundation awards grant in a limited period for new projects or programs. After that, we expect a partner organization to be sustainable to carry their mission on to completion till the day of Christ Jesus. Stoller Foundation strives to bring the highest returns on its investment by making partner organizations highly efficient and sustainable.
